Beyond merely complying with all regulations relevant to the environment, DR.SCHNELL Chemie GmbH commits itself to the permanent improvement of our company’s environmental achievements:

1. DR.SCHNELL Chemie GmbH is committed to the environment and its activities consider environmental protection to the same extent as other company goals. Environmentally related aspects are integrated in the decision-making and strategic structure of our company’s management.
2. Environmental protection is a major management task. Management and departmental heads take an exemplary approach and encourage responsible handling from all members of staff.
3. Environmental protection is a key component in our staff training courses. We inform our employees and our customer’s employees about our company’s environmental protection measures and the environmental behaviour of our products and motivate them to take a responsible and environment-friendly approach in their work.
4. Progress in company environmental protection is regularly evaluated as part of our planning, control and monitoring system – with quantification if possible. The effects of the activities on the local surroundings are also assessed and monitored.
5. We conduct environmental audits to ensure the success of our company’s environmental protection policy. Therefore we can monitor the effect of our environmental policy and our environmental protection methods.
6. Environmental compatibility is an essential aspect of our product-development profile when creating and improving our products. The required environmental compatibility includes the manufacturing method and the individual ingredients.
7. For environmentally critical activities and for planning emergency procedures we co-operate with the authorities and the relevant institutions. Necessary organisational and technical measures are taken to prevent the accidental release of substances or energy.
8. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to reduce the incidence of waste, residual materials and waste waters to a reasonable minimum. The impact of ongoing activities is regularly monitored.
9. We include our suppliers and service providers in our efforts for improved environmental protection.
10. We provide our customers with information and necessary guidance regarding the environmental aspect of our products in conjunction with their handling and use.
11. We cooperate intensively and in confidence with authorities, other companies and the public in matter of environmental protection. All information that is necessary for understanding the environmental impact of our company is available.
